This project encompasses extensive experience providing IT support and infrastructure management within Nigeria's banking sector, spanning roles at Oceanic Bank International Plc and Ecobank Nigeria Ltd from August 2008 to May 2016. The initiative focused on maintaining critical Info-Tech infrastructures, ensuring operational efficiency, and facilitating a major core banking application migration following Ecobank's acquisition of Oceanic Bank.

Key elements included troubleshooting hardware peripherals, optimizing in-house applications, configuring network devices, and executing migration cut-overs to integrate systems like Flexcube. This work was critical in a high-stakes environment where downtime could impact customer services, including ATM operations and account statement processing.

  • Infrastructure Optimization: Performed crimping and termination of network cables to support LAN extensions and reliable connectivity. Liaised with Network and Communication units for link availability and optimization.
  • Data Management and Backup: Performed daily data backups as requested, ensuring data integrity and availability for critical branch operations and regulatory compliance.

Core Banking Migration and Process Optimization

  • Flexcube Migration Support: Actively supported the Flexcube migration cut-over, including system cloning across Ecobank branches to standardize configurations. Integrated and migrated Oceanic Bank's Core Banking Application (Finacle) to Ecobank's core system.
  • Process Practitioner Duties: Executed activities within IT group processes for at least four assigned branches. Ensured inputs, outputs, and interfaces were accurate, maintained activity-based records, and identified improvements through infrastructure team engagements.
  • Testing and Security: Led comprehensive testing efforts for features and functionality, creating detailed test plans and scenarios. Handled security incidents by providing solutions, updating policies, and documenting actions for regulatory compliance.
