Banking IT Infrastructure Support and Core Banking Migration
Eight years of critical IT infrastructure management in Nigeria's banking sector, featuring Flexcube migration, network optimization, and zero-downtime system transitions during the Oceanic-Ecobank merger.
Project Overview
This project encompasses extensive experience providing IT support and infrastructure management within Nigeria's banking sector, spanning roles at Oceanic Bank International Plc and Ecobank Nigeria Ltd from August 2008 to May 2016. The initiative focused on maintaining critical Info-Tech infrastructures, ensuring operational efficiency, and facilitating a major core banking application migration following Ecobank's acquisition of Oceanic Bank.
Key elements included troubleshooting hardware peripherals, optimizing in-house applications, configuring network devices, and executing migration cut-overs to integrate systems like Flexcube. This work was critical in a high-stakes environment where downtime could impact customer services, including ATM operations and account statement processing.
